If you wash the ball after it is used it will get rid of the dirt and grime from the rubber. Without the dirt and grime the ball will stay grippy! It is important to practice with a grippy and clean lacrosse ball because this is how the ball with feel during a game. A grippy lacrosse ball is a good lacrosse ball.
In addition to washing your lacrosse balls it is important to keep the balls out of the sun. The UV rays of the sun are harsh on the rubber. The fastest way to a slippery lacrosse ball is to leave the ball in the sun. After a big shooting sesh gather up all your balls and put them in a big bucket with a lid or a bag. The bucket or bag will keep out all the sun light plus the balls will be easy to move around.
