Fourth annual Catamount Classic Lacrosse Tournament, Oct. 9, 2011

by Lax Doctor on September 27, 2011

Normally I would never post this kind of stuff but, since this is a reputable tournamet for a great cause I would like to pass on an email I received.

Good afternoon,

The fourth annual Catamount Classic is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9 and will include both men’s and women’s collegiate lacrosse teams this year.  Sixteen top-level men’s and women’s collegiate lacrosse teams will compete in an all-day lacrosse tournament to support genitourinary and women’s cancers research and care at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.  Genitourinary cancers include testicular, prostate, and kidney.  As a fellow lacrosse fan, I am hoping you will help us promote the event on LaxDoctor.com.

Please note that the 11:30 a.m. UMASS vs. UVM men’s lacrosse scrimmage will feature a 60-second shot clock.

Participating teams include:
Women’s division: Bryant University, Boston University, Brown University, College of the Holy Cross, Iona College, Siena College, University of Connecticut, and University of Vermont.
Men’s division: Brown University, Bryant University, College of the Holy Cross, Providence College, Sacred Heart University, University of Hartford, University of Massachusetts, and University of Vermont.

Please find a press release below with additional information.

Thank you!
