Does traditional mesh hold its pocket well?

Traditional pockets are sweet. A solid custom can play great and look even sicker. The major issue with traditional pockets is the amount of maintenance involved with keeping the stick playing at peak performance. Forget about ever using a traditional pocket in rain… it will get ruined! People will tell you that newspaper will dry it out. Lies! It will never be the same. A well maintained traditional stick can hold a great pocket but it is really up to the player to make sure the pocket is kept in good condition. If you are looking for a gamer I would suggest a mesh alternative. For more of a traditional feel try 6 or 7 diamond mesh. Traditional stringing can hold a good pocket as long as your are willing to put in the time to maintain it.
